What is it? A key part of your grooming practice is your post shave. Our hand made, small batch lotions calm razor burn by harnessing the soothing powers of four botanical ingredients.
Its alcohol free formula calms post shave sensitivity with extracts of aloe vera, alcohol free witch hazel, cacay oil and meadowfoam seed oil. A refreshing lotion that leaves your skin nourished and ready for the day.
Free from parabens, sodium lauryl sulphates and artificial colours our vegan friendly, tested on humans only lotions are hand filled and finished with gorgeous waterproof vinyl stickers.
What does it smell of? Like sipping a cup of Earl Grey tea whilst strolling through a lavender field, Albion begins with the citrus touch of bergamot and the crisp note of grapefruit. A floral and herbaceous middle is introduced with the inclusion of English lavender and patchouli grounds the fragrance with its depth and warmth.

Cool, slick and spot on for sensitive skin, Albion post shave lotion has a lovely citrus note with floral hints and a slight herbal note too. Although labeled as a lotion, in my honest opinion I would refer to it more as a gel. It has excellent coverage and a little goes a long way. It leaves my face feeling fresh and clean, especially after using my Shavette razor which is purely experimental after using DE razors for years. With so many global branded shaving products out there, it's refreshing to have a smaller independent UK company like Phoenix and Beau who really care about what they produce and have a great philosophy about the quality time that we all deserve with our pre/post shaves. Well done!
once I'd penetrated the outer surface with a bit of rubbing I found an area that was wet and sticky, I pushed in further and it started rubbing harder, it started frothing and getting more moist eventually I managed to withdraw, to my satisfaction I found it most soft and relaxing
In a nutshell, if you love the Albion soap, why wouldn't you want more of the same? The soap shouts Earl Grey tea to me, however, I was getting more of an orange vibe to this. Nothing wrong with that really, and in use, is simple to apply in small doses and guaranteed smooth, untacky finish every time. The perfect finish in support of the splash...What do you mean you don't have the splash? Get over there and order it! 😂

Enjoying a quality shave is always important and after using the Albion Tallow Shaving Soap, I used its counterpart Albion Post Shave Lotion for that final flourish. This is a slick lotion which I would say is more gel like in consistency and has that enticing signature bergamot (Earl Grey) and citrus note along with floral elements of which lavender being a very noticeable component here. A little application goes a long way and you can get a decent controlled amount from the pump dispenser. Your face post shave is left feeling clean, refreshed and calm with the addition of smelling good too. Anyone with sensitive skin like myself need not worry and that gets a thumbs up! Kerry has a good philosophy about the quality time that we should all take with shaving and the importance of it which obviously shows in the products that Phoenix and Beau are producing...Well done!
