Achilles Last Stand Shaving Soap
"Oh the sweet refrain, soothes the soul and calms the pain. Oh Albion remains, sleeping now to rise again"
What does it smell of? ASL is inspired by mythological imagery drawn from the Greek hero Achilles and the thunderous Led Zeppelin song, and it's namesake, Achilles Last Stand.
We've also drawn upon our travels in Morocco to dream up a profile that invokes imagery of travelling through the scenes of the song and those times.
Notes of agarwood, rose, amber, patchouli, saffron, a couple of kisses from raspberry and pear, orange blossom and a touch of musk make an accord that's complex, deep and has something of the night about it.
Attention to detail: Our enterprise is an intimate family operation where we focus on the detail, quality and aesthetic of our products and we focus on you, our customer. An example is how we use our own hands to blend each essential oil accord. These are carefully meted out recipes that are made one batch at a time and added to the just made soap. N.b. Our soap is a thirsty beast. For a better understanding please take a moment and watch my guide on how to lather our soap.

Sorry I'm late in discovering Achilles Last Stand, but you know that feeling when you've put something off for so long, then when you finally get around to it, it's all so worthwhile? It's P&B, so pedigree is not an issue, as you know quality is standard practice, from presentation to performance and finish, so that's guaranteed to excel, so I suppose it's all about the fragrance, which out of the puck is that "Oh yes" moment. It probably speaks volumes that I tend to go for the whole set (where possible) of any P&B release, so of course I bought the balm and splash. It's easily an all-year-round fragrance with a beautiful balance of sweet meets woody. Longevity is such that in using the balm and splash with this, you'll will get many hours of happiness for sure.
Great soap and scent musky and mysterious if Led Zeppelin had a smell it would be this can't wait for the Kashmir :)
Excellent soap. Lathers really well and razor glide is exceptional. Have other P & B soaps and they are all top quality. The perfume of Achilles Last Stand is one of the nicest I have smelt.
As with all soaps from these guys it lathers up and performs a treat. The scent on this one is great but for me I find it quite mild, I would like it stronger smelling, apart from that as I said great soap.
Just got it yesterday and it honestly smells as good as it sounds. I had the volupta soap from P&B previously but this is my new favorite now!
